The Bluebell Wood/'Hovering There' sketchbooks

The Bluebell Wood or 'Hovering There' sketchbooks are a number of Clarke's working sketchbooks, grouped together by their subject matter. In these sketchbooks, theĀ 2007 project for APAX and Partners' World Headquarters, and the body of work produced in resolving the treatment of the space, resulting in the final stained glass wall and multi-panel oil painting, is worked out in drawings, watercolour paintings, and photographs. The sketchbooks also contain studies for related individual works which arose out the Apax project and Clarke's preoccupation at the time, the bluebell wood.
